Best Grow Room Thermometers and Hygrometers

Accurate temperature and humidity monitoring is essential for indoor growing.

Best Grow Room Thermometers and Hygrometers

Updated for 2026 — This article has been reviewed and updated with the latest recommendations.

Temperature and humidity control every biological process in your grow room. Without accurate monitoring, you are guessing at conditions and reacting to problems after they started. A reliable thermometer and hygrometer cost less than a single nutrient bottle and directly improve every grow.

Accuracy

Most cheap thermometers are accurate to plus or minus 2 degrees Fahrenheit, which is adequate. Hygrometers are the bigger concern. Inexpensive sensors can be off by 5 to 10 percent, which is the difference between safe 55 percent and mold-promoting 65 percent. Look for plus or minus 3 percent or better. Calibrate using the salt test: sealed bag with saturated salt solution should read 75 percent after 12 hours.

AC Infinity CLOUDCOM B2

The AC Infinity CLOUDCOM B2 combines thermometer, hygrometer, and VPD calculator. Large backlit display readable across the room. Stores min/max over 24 hours. Accuracy: plus or minus 0.9 degrees F and 3 percent humidity. Built-in data logger records via USB. At $30 to $40, a significant upgrade over basic meters. Check Latest Price

Govee WiFi Thermometer Hygrometer

The Govee WiFi connects to your network and sends data to a smartphone app. Push notifications when thresholds are crossed. Accuracy: plus or minus 0.54 degrees F and 3 percent humidity. App stores two years of data with trend graphs. At $15 to $20 per sensor, affordable enough for multiple placement points. Check Latest Price

Inkbird IBS-TH2

ThermoPro TP60S

The ThermoPro TP60S uses a wireless remote sensor transmitting up to 200 feet. Shows current, min, and max readings. Supports up to three remote sensors. Accuracy: plus or minus 2 degrees F and 5 percent humidity. Less precise but at $12 to $16, the most affordable option for basic monitoring. Check Latest Price

Placement Tips

Mount at canopy level. Keep out of direct grow lamp light. Keep away from fans and intake vents. The temperature and humidity your plants experience at the canopy is what matters for growth and disease prevention.
