Best Inline Fans for Grow Tents

Inline fans control temperature, humidity, and airflow in your grow tent.

Best Inline Fans for Grow Tents

Updated for 2026 — This article has been reviewed and updated with the latest recommendations.

Ventilation is one of the most overlooked aspects of indoor growing. An inline fan pulls stale, hot, humid air out of your tent and draws fresh air in through passive intake vents. Without proper airflow, temperatures climb, humidity spikes, and stagnant conditions invite mold and pests.

Sizing Your Fan

Exchange all tent air once every one to three minutes. Multiply length times width times height in feet for cubic feet. A 4x4x7 tent has 112 cubic feet, needing at least 112 CFM. Add 25 percent for a carbon filter, 20 percent for long ducting. For that tent, a 200 to 250 CFM fan gives comfortable headroom. Oversizing is better than undersizing since you can always dial down.

AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T6

The AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T6 is the default recommendation. The 6-inch model moves 402 CFM at only 32 dBA. Mixed-flow design provides high static pressure through carbon filters. The built-in controller includes programmable thermostat and humidistat that automatically adjusts fan speed. Onboard timer for scheduling. Powder-coated steel housing with vibration isolators. At $150 to $170. Check Latest Price

VIVOSUN 6 Inch Inline Fan

The VIVOSUN 6 Inch is the budget pick at $35 to $50, moving 440 CFM. Centrifugal blower generates strong static pressure. The tradeoff is noise, noticeably louder than the CLOUDLINE. No built-in speed controller, so buy one separately for $15 to $20. Build quality is adequate. For tight budgets and noise tolerance. Check Latest Price

AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S4

For smaller 2x2 or 2x4 tents, the CLOUDLINE S4 provides 205 CFM in a 4-inch form factor. Same quiet operation as T6. Simpler 10-speed manual controller without thermostat. At $90 to $110. Pairs well with 4-inch carbon filter in small tents. Check Latest Price

TerraBloom ECMF-150

The TerraBloom ECMF-150 uses an EC motor for better energy efficiency. 6-inch, 347 CFM, drawing only 32 watts. Noise competitive with AC Infinity. Stepless variable speed controller. Motor rated for 67,000 hours of continuous operation. At $130 to $150, strong for energy-conscious growers. Check Latest Price

Choosing

For most 4x4 tents, the CLOUDLINE T6 is the easiest recommendation. Budget grows: VIVOSUN with separate speed controller. Small tents: CLOUDLINE S4. Energy-conscious: TerraBloom EC motor. Pair with a properly sized carbon filter and insulated ducting.
